HISTORY OF KAY-KOOLA
Kay-KOOLA is a refreshing drink developed during World War II by my grandfather Joseph Kayatta. During this period of
time, soda syrups were not available because of the war conditions. Being a pharmacist with a spirit of ingenuity, my
grandfather developed this refreshing soft drink, which he sold for decades at his pharmacy's Soda Fountain located on
Broad Street in Providence, R.I.
In the mid-sixties I improved this recipe and added a diet form.
Today, with the help of family members and friends, I have been fortunate enough to have our drink bottled with Natural
Artesian Spring Water by the EMPIRE BOTTLING WORKS CO. INC of Bristol, R.I.
I hope you will enjoy Kay-Koola, and will join with us in its distribution.
